====== Security Settlement ======

This section is for working through buttons, related lists and lightning pages for the Security Settlement object. Security Settlement is a way to track security transactions and details connected to the Payment and Opportunity records. Add custom fields as needed. For more detailed instruction on configuring Page Layouts or Lightning Pages, see the [[1accounts|Accounts]] or [[20contacts|Contacts]] object configuration.

==== Page Layouts ====
    * Click **Setup**, **Object Manager**, **Security Settlement**
    * Select **Page Layouts**, Select **Security Settlement Layout**, then **Save As** to create a new version
    * Click **Related Lists** in the pallet
        * Add or remove related lists as needed
    * **Save**
If a new page layout was created, assign to the appropriate Profiles

==== Lightning Page ====
A custom Lightning Page isn't necessary for this object. Users will see the Security Settlement in a "Default" lighting view. But if you want to configure one, follow these steps.

From Security Settlement, Object Manager, Select **Lightning Record Pages**
    * If a page exists, select it or Click **New** to create a new page
    * If you selcted an existing page, Click **Clone** and add a new label and API Name, configure as needed, Click **Save**
    * If you clicked **New**, Select **Record Page** from left panel, **Next**
      * Assign a Label and Search and Select the object (in this case Security Settlement), **Next**
      * Choose a **Page Template** from left panel, **Done**
      * Build the new Security Settlement lightning page by dragging the components and fields from the left panel.
      * **Save** and **Activate**
