Affiliations

This section is for identifying and understanding how to use the custom fields added to the Affiliation object in the Donor 360 package. Affiliation is a NPSP package object and Donor 360 adds some additional fields.

Field types include text, formula, External Id, lookup, picklist and additional phone and email fields. Work with your teams to determine which fields you plan to use. Make sure these are included on the Affiliation Page Layout and Lightning Page.

The following autolaunched flows can be used in your org. Both are templates. If the flow does everything you need it to do, leave it active. If customizations need to be made, click Deactivate, then Save As New Flow, name it and Save. Then customize as needed before Activating

• AffiliationStatusChangesToFormer
  • When an Affiliation record is created or updated and the Status=Former
  • The Primary checkbox is returned to false (unchecked)
• MakeAffiliationSearchable
  • When an Affiliation record is created (IS NEW) or updated and the Organization or Contact have changed
  • Two text fields, Account Name (text) and Contact Name (text) are updated with the new data
  • These two fields are useful when searching account names and contact names
